For years, Helnan has welcomed guests through stays, celebrations, shared meals and moments that became part of their family memories.

The campaign looked at that legacy through the grandmother’s eyes, returning to a place she already knew and experiencing it again with a new generation beside her.

01. The Challenge

A PLACE SHE KNEW. A QUALITY SHE STILL RECOGNISED

Helnan already carried a long-standing relationship with guests who had known the brand for years. The opportunity was to bring that familiarity into the present without making the story feel nostalgic or fixed in the past.

The campaign needed to show that the Helnan experience could still feel familiar to older guests while remaining relevant to their children and grandchildren. The grandmother became the bridge between both, recognising the quality she remembered while watching her family experience it for themselves.

02. The Approach

SEEING HELNAN THROUGH SOMEONE WHO ALREADY KNEW IT

Pimula built the campaign around the grandmother’s point of view, allowing Helnan’s history to be felt through her reactions, memories, and familiarity with the hotel. The visual storytelling focused on what she recognised, from the warmth of the welcome to the spaces, service, and time shared with family, showing continuity without relying on dates or historical explanation.
